MEET MARIA! OUR NEW FOODSERVICE EXECUTIVE

 

During 2020 Visionary Food Solutions were recruiting for a foodservice executive. Maria joined us in August! We caught up with Maria for a quick fire of questions: 

Tell us about yourself:

I graduated in Drama & Business from Loughborough University in 2014! I have completed 3 seasons in New York as part of Camp America, heading both Drama and the summer program for girls aged 8-12 years old, as well as presenting on Radio Jackie! I was working in the civil service before entering the food and drink industry! Fun fact - I was the first person to graduate from Loughborough University with a degree in Drama & Business!

Tell us about your past role:

In my last role I was working at a healthy drinks startup, called Rejuvenation Water. I was leading food service and business development. My role focused predominantly around London, but also included travel to other parts of the UK as well!

What are your hobbies, interest:

Since as long as I can remember I've been into 1950's and 60's music. I may be the biggest Elvis fan you've ever met! I love to play netball, and run. I've completed a few half marathons, including challenging myself solo during lockdown, and one day would love to run a full!

What do you love about the food and drink industry:

I’m a massive food and drink lover. I love watching innovative products grow. I’m especially interested in the healthy alternative brands. 

What are you most excited about working with VFS?

I am really excited to join VFS and work with amazing brands, helping to grow and spread the word! I’m looking forward to learning more about scaling up from a concept and how new ideas become a creation. I can’t wait to get stuck in and be part of the family!
